The beliefs that shape your life are often not loud, they are covert narratives formed over time through experience, relationships, and survival. These patterns operate quietly beneath awareness, influencing how you think, feel, and respond.
At Covert Minds Therapy, we bring those covert patterns into the light.
Our work is grounded in evidence-based treatment, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary foundation. We also integrate other evidence-based approaches when clinically appropriate, tailoring treatment to your unique needs and goals. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, behavioral cycles, and core beliefs that maintain distress. Once they are visible, they can be examined, tested, and intentionally reshaped.
We do not view symptoms as flaws. They are learned adaptations that once served a purpose.
Therapy here is collaborative, structured, and deeply human — rooted in science while honoring the complexity of your lived experience.
We bring covert dynamics into awareness. By exploring hidden meanings and unspoken patterns, we make the unconscious conscious, allowing for intentional choice rather than reactive habit.
Therapy is a collaborative relationship. We provide a space where complexity is welcomed and emotions are respected, helping you understand how you relate to yourself and others.
Change isn’t just cognitive; it’s felt. We honor the mind-body connection, gently exploring protective strategies and helping you find a grounded sense of safety and alignment.

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Typically, we meet once a week to maintain momentum and consistency in our work. As we progress, we may decide to adjust the frequency to bi-weekly or as needed.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your history, and your goals. It is also a time for you to ask questions and see if we are a good fit. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable space for you from the very beginning.
Currently, I offer virtual therapy sessions for clients located in New York and Illinois. This allows for flexibility and comfort in your own space. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
